Hi, I’m Monika Strand — the author and creator behind Just For You Books.
From my home near the California coast, I spend my days dreaming up and designing personalized children’s books that make little readers feel seen, celebrated, and special.
What started as one story has grown into many personalized titles — birthday surprises, animal adventures, holiday keepsakes, teacher appreciation gifts, and whimsical tales inspired by wildlife and the natural world.

Meet the Author, Monika Strand
Monika Strand is a lifelong entrepreneur who embraced her dream of becoming a children’s author in 2023 when her first grandchild was celebrating his first birthday. That joyful moment became the catalyst for a long-held calling — and JustForYouBooks.com was born.
With a background that spans decades of entrepreneurship, Monika brings both creativity and business experience to her publishing journey. She has owned a dance apparel boutique, a coffee house, and a national fundraising company, worked as a ballet instructor and Realtor, and now co-runs Storyteller’s Publishing with her husband — the independent press behind every book you see at Just For You Books.
Her foundation has always been the same: thoughtful products, genuine customer care, and work created with heart.
The name Just For You Books is a nod to her very first business, Just For Dance — a dancewear store where she learned the art of personal service while fitting pointe shoes for young dancers. (And yes — she has written a few dance-themed books, with likely more to come.)
When asked what inspires her stories, Monika’s answer is simple: animals.
From woodland creatures to jungle explorers, she loves weaving animals into her personalized stories — often naming the main character after the child who will receive the book. It’s a creative process rooted in joy, imagination, and the belief that children light up when they see themselves reflected in a story.
