I write children’s books for a living.
But somewhere along the way, I also fell deeply in love with sourdough. It started during the pandemic, when my very first starter began bubbling away on my counter. That same starter moved with me from the suburbs to the country — like a tiny, doughy companion with a personality of its own.
And through it all, I’ve had Taylor Swift playing in the background. Her music has been my soundtrack for publishing books, building my business, and continuing to create even on the hard days. Her albums helped me set milestones. Her tours were finish lines I celebrated with my own wins. Seeing her live on the ERAS Tour in 2023 was one of the highlight days of my life — pure joy, glitter, and heart fireworks.
So… what happens when your baking ERA and your Swiftie ERA collide? A cookbook is born.
